A Musing, Aphorism, and Heuristic (or something like that)…

i) If we really realized how short life we wouldn’t waste it…

If we really realized the shortness of life we would act deliberately.

We would leave no time for things of no meaning.

ii) To understand life we must understand death…

There is no bad without good.

We may not be able to fully grasp the concept of death now, but reminding yourself of it daily is a good place to start.

Understanding death allows us to live.

It’s why many people diagnosed with a terminal illness say they’ve never felt more alive.

iii) Life is like a box of chocolates - Forrest Gump

I know, I know, cheesy.

But as the quote continues…

“You never know what you're going to get inside”

It does ring true…

You never know what’s going to happen.

The only sure thing is if you don’t eat any chocolate you’ll get nothing.

Communication tip:

If you see someone you want to talk to, don’t wait.

If you’re scared.

Count down from 5 then start walking once you hit 0.

The reason you suck at talking to new people is, you never talk to new people.

One Actionable Tip to Improve your Life Today:

Move your body (at least) once every hour.

Set a timer on your phone for 55 minutes.

Once it goes off get up and move for 5 minutes.

You can:

  • walk

  • stretch

  • do jumping jacks

Whatever.

Just move your body.
